Safety release adapters are designed to work with jump cups, providing a safe release when a horse lands on the rail, helping to prevent falls and rotational accidents.  It is recommended that when schooling, all top rails are equiped with a safety release adapter.

FEI Rule:

The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) mandates the use of safety release devices, commonly known as safety cups, for specific obstacles in show jumping competitions. These devices are designed to release the pole upon impact, reducing the risk of accidents.

Key Requirements:

• Application: Safety release devices are required for the back poles of spread obstacles, such as oxers, and for the middle and back poles of triple bars.
